About OSRS Helper
An independent Old School RuneScape resource built around market data, calculators and original guides.
What this site is
OSRS Helper publishes Grand Exchange market data, calculators and guides for Old School RuneScape. The aim is to be the page you open before the wiki when your question is “what is this worth”, “is this worth trading”, or “what should I do next”.
The wiki is better than we are at almost everything else — drop tables, quest walkthroughs, game mechanics, item history — and where that is true we link to it rather than reproducing it. What we try to add is analysis the wiki does not do: margins after tax, liquidity ratings, how long a buy limit is likely to take to fill, and what the market is doing right now.
Where the data comes from
Prices come from the RuneScape Wiki real-time price API, which publishes recent player trades. Item metadata — names, examine text, alchemy values, buy limits — comes from the same source. Item images are served from the OSRS Wiki through our own cache.
These are player trades, not official Jagex figures, and they are a snapshot of activity that has already happened. We show when each figure was fetched rather than calling it live, for exactly that reason. Our data sources page explains the caching, the freshness signals and what happens when a feed fails.
How we write
Everything on this site is written for this site. We do not scrape, copy or paraphrase content from the OSRS Wiki, from other fan sites, or from each other. Where we have not written something yet — a quest walkthrough, for instance — the page says so and points you somewhere that has, rather than filling the space.
GP per hour figures and experience rates are estimates presented as ranges, because they depend on prices, gear, levels and attention. Anywhere we can calculate a figure from live data instead of estimating it, we do. Our editorial policy sets out the standards in full.

OSRS Helper is an independent fan website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected with Jagex Ltd. Old School RuneScape and RuneScape are trademarks of Jagex Ltd.
We do not sell gold, accounts or services of any kind related to breaking the game’s rules, and we do not link to anyone who does.
