The Ides of Milk

01The Groats principles

A short Lumbridge quest with no item requirements and one genuinely dangerous fight at the end.

1. 1

Speak to Cassius by the Lumbridge pond, south of the windmill. He wants a partner for his milk business and sends you to ask the Groats how they do it.

2. 2

Gillie Groats is inside the Lumbridge cow field just north of the gate. She says happy animals make better milk and points you at her father.

3. 3

Seth Groats is in the house by the chicken coop, north-west of the cow field. He recommends his book — search the shelves on the southern wall for The Groats Principles, then take it back to Cassius.

02The permit

1. 1

Duke Horacio is upstairs in Lumbridge Castle. He will not issue a permit without the Groats' blessing and sends you back to Gillie.

2. 2

Offer Gillie the sample. She refuses to drink it and asks you to, which you do — it is worse than the first one and does no damage this time.

03The bull

1. 1

Enter through the north-eastern gate to fight the bull. Its ordinary melee attacks cannot kill you during the quest — they hit 0 once you are at 1 Hitpoint.

2. 2

Its special attacks are the real danger. They scale with your Hitpoints level, hit up to about 19, and are not capped the way the melee is.

The specials can kill you outright. Low-level accounts should expect to lose 30 to 40 per cent of their health per hit and bring food accordingly.

3. 3

Run south-west to the gate at any point if the fight goes badly.
