Ernest the Chicken

01The missing fiancé

Three machine parts hidden around Draynor Manor, findable in any order. The manor layout is the puzzle, not the parts themselves.

   Talk to Veronica outside the Draynor Manor courtyard, then go inside, up the central staircase and up the spiral stairs immediately west to Professor Oddenstein.

2. 2

   He explains that Ernest is now a chicken and that his machine is missing a pressure gauge, a rubber tube and an oil can.

02The pressure gauge

   Find fish food in a blue box in the room directly south of the main staircase, and poison in a green bottle in the small north-western room south of the kitchen.
2. 2

   Use the poison on the fish food, then leave through the south-eastern door and go to the fountain in the south-west corner of the grounds. Use the poisoned food on it to kill the piranhas, then search it.

03The rubber tube

   Take the spade from beside the south-eastern door if you do not have one, then search the compost heap on the west side of the grounds, north of the belladonna patch. It gives you a key.

   Go back in the front door and through the door behind the stairs. Grab the tube and leave quickly.

   An aggressive skeleton lives in that room. At low level, take the tube and run rather than trying to fight it.

04The oil can and the machine

1. 1

   In the western room on the ground floor, search the bookcase on the west wall to open a secret room, then climb down the ladder into the lever basement.

2. 2

   Work the levers and doors until you reach the oil can. If you lose track of which levers are thrown, leave the room and come back — that resets them all.

   Telekinetic Grab does not work on the oil can. You have to walk to it.

3. 3

   Leave the basement, pull the lever on the eastern wall to get out of the secret room, and take all three parts to Oddenstein upstairs. He turns Ernest back, and you still have to leave through the back doors.
