Starting out: Talk to Redbeard Frank at the northernmost dock at Port Sarim, just outside The Rusty Anchor.

There is no written introduction to this one yet. The walkthrough, requirements, items and rewards below are complete.

Talk to Redbeard Frank at the northernmost dock in Port Sarim. He wants Karamjan rum before he tells you anything.

Walk south along the docks and pay one of the three sailors 30 coins for passage to Karamja. Do not talk to the Monks of Entrana, who are on the same stretch of dock.

Rum cannot legally leave Karamja, so the quest is really one long workaround for a customs check.

Follow the path west from the dock into the bar and buy one Karamjan rum from Zembo.
Do not board the boat carrying it, and do not teleport. Customs confiscate it and a teleport smashes the bottle — including a random event that moves you.

Pick 10 bananas from the plantation to the north.

Ask Luthas in the hut east of the plantation for a job. Then use the rum on the crate outside the south-east corner of his hut, and fill the crate with bananas.
Ask for the job first. If you get 'Why would I want to do that?' when using the rum, that is the step you missed.

Sail back to Port Sarim with an empty inventory as far as the rum is concerned.

Take the white apron from the back wall of the fishing shop west of the docks and wear it.

Ask Wydin at the food store just south for a job — he only agrees if you are wearing the apron — then search the crate with a banana on top in the back room.

Take the rum to Redbeard Frank. He gives you a key to a chest upstairs in Varrock's Blue Moon Inn.
Still no teleporting with the rum in your inventory. Walk it to him.

Go to the Blue Moon Inn just north of Varrock's south gate, upstairs, and use the key on the chest at the end of the hall for a pirate message.

Go to Falador Park and look at the Saradomin statue in the middle. The dirt around it makes a rough X. Stand in the centre of it and dig.

A level 4 gardener appears and stops you digging again. Kill him or run out of the park to despawn him, then dig once more for the casket.

Access to One-Eyed Hector's Treasure Chest (contains a gold ring, an emerald, and 450 coins).

Completing Pirate's Treasure is a prerequisite for the following.

Rewards 2 quest points, Access to Mos Le'Harmless and Access to kill cave horrors.
