Prince Ali Rescue

01Shopping first

This quest has the longest item list of any free-to-play quest, and almost all of it is buyable. Gathering it by hand is where the hours go.

   Buy the lot on the Grand Exchange before you start: soft clay, three balls of wool, yellow dye, redberries, ashes, a pot of flour, a bronze bar, a pink skirt and three beers. A rope can be bought from Ned during the quest for 18 coins.

   Bring 30 to 40 coins for the Al Kharid toll gate unless you are teleporting past it.

02Planning the rescue

   Talk to Chancellor Hassan in the southern chamber of Al Kharid palace. There is a jug of water in the eastern room if you forgot one.

   He sends you to Spymaster Osman outside the northern wall, who sends you on to his daughter Leela. She is east of Draynor Village, just south of the wheat field.

   Ned's house is west of Leela. Ask him to make a wig from your balls of wool, then dye the wig yellow.

   Dye the wig. If you skip it, Leela will not give you the next instruction and it looks like the quest has broken.

03Getting the prince out

1. 1

   Leela sends you to Joe the guard. Buy him all three beers until he is drunk.

   Use the rope on Lady Keli, then the key on the cell door, then talk to Prince Ali. He takes the wig and pink skirt as a disguise and walks out.

   Return to Hassan in the palace for your reward. Members can then talk to Osman outside to unlock the Sorceress's Garden minigame teleport, which is worth the extra thirty seconds.
