01The Odd Old Man

Eight bones from eight different monsters, each a guaranteed drop. The quest is a shopping trip around the early map.

1. 1

   Talk to the Odd Old Man by his house north-west of the Silvarea mining site, north-east of Varrock, and agree to help.

02The eight bones

1. 1

   Giant rat bone — giant rats south-east of Varrock by the mine, in the Varrock Sewers or in Lumbridge Swamp.

2. 2

   Unicorn bone and bear ribs — both in the forest south-east of Varrock, which makes that one trip rather than two.

3. 3

   Ram skull — the sheep pen south of Varrock or Fred the Farmer's pen north of Lumbridge. Goblin skull — goblins east or west of Lumbridge.

   Big frog leg — big frogs in Lumbridge Swamp, either the level 10 or the level 24. Monkey paw — monkeys east of the Karamja Volcano.

   Giant bat wing — giant bats in the Karamja Dungeon, below the Heroes' Guild or in the Yanille dungeon.

6. 6

   If you have ensouled heads and the Arceuus spellbook, reanimating them near the Dark Altar works instead of hunting the monsters.

03Vinegar and boiling

1. 1

   Talk to Fortunato in the Draynor Village marketplace and mention the Odd Old Man sent you, then buy eight jugs of vinegar.

2. 2

   Use the vinegar on your pots to make eight pots of vinegar, then use each bone on a pot.

3. 3

   Back at the Odd Old Man, use a log on the pot-boiler, then a bone in vinegar, then light it with a tinderbox. Each pot takes twelve seconds.

   Never click Empty on a bone in vinegar. The bone is destroyed and you will be going back out for another one.
