About this quest

Starting out: Talk to Thormac at the top floor of the Sorcerer's Tower, south-east of the Ranging Guild.

There is no written introduction to this one yet. The walkthrough, requirements, items and rewards below are complete.

Walkthrough

01Three loose scorpions

The scorpions themselves are trivial. Getting to the first one through Taverley Dungeon is the whole quest.

  1. 1

Talk to Thormac on the top floor of the Sorcerer's Tower, south of Seers' Village, for the scorpion cage.

  2. 2

Speak to any Seer in Seers' Village about the first scorpion.

The secret room in Taverley Dungeon does not exist until you have had this conversation. Skipping it means a wasted trip.

02Taverley Dungeon

  1. 1

You need a dusty key, from the level 47 Jailer in the dungeon, unless you can buy one from the Legends' Guild shop.

    • 2

Take an anti-dragon shield past the blue dragons. Their dragonfire hits up to 50 and the shield cuts roughly 80 per cent of it; with an antifire potion you are immune.

Without the shield this section kills low-level accounts outright. 80 Agility lets you skip the dragons entirely.

    • 3

Catch the first scorpion in the secret room with your cage.

    03The other two

    1. 1

The second is upstairs in Edgeville Monastery. Speak to Abbot Langley to be let up if you have not before, then climb the south-east ladder — it is at the top or in the bedroom just north.

    2. 2

The third wanders just inside the entrance of the Barbarian Outpost Agility Course, in the north-eastern gated building. That needs Alfred Grimhand's Barcrawl finished.

    3. 3

Take the full cage back to Thormac.

    Rewards

    Everything else

    • Strength experience
    • The ability to have Thormac turn a battlestaff into a mystic staff for 40,000 coins
