01Veos and the scroll

Four clues, all in and around Lumbridge and Draynor. Short, and the gateway to the whole of Great Kourend.

   Speak to Veos in The Sheared Ram in Lumbridge and offer to help. He hands you a treasure scroll.

   If you get stuck on any clue, Veos gives hints — either in The Sheared Ram or on the dock south of the Rusty Anchor Inn in Port Sarim.

02The first two clues

1. 1

   Clue one gives directions from Bob's Brilliant Axes: one step east, seven north, five west, one south. That lands on the tile north of the north-western window of the attached house, directly west of the plant. Dig there.

2. 2

   Clue two is a map pointing behind Lumbridge Castle by the kitchen. Dig on the tile directly south-west of the large crate for a mysterious orb.

03The orb

1. 1

   Feeling the orb tells you how close you are, ignoring walls — the same hot-and-cold mechanic as clue scrolls. You do not have to search blind, though: the spot is east of Draynor Village, north-west of the jail and south of the wheat field, near Leela.

2. 2

   Dig four steps north of the bush there. An amulet of glory teleport lands you close enough to walk it in a few seconds.

04The cipher

1. 1

   The last clue is a Caesar shift: ESBZOPS QJH QFO decodes to DRAYNOR PIG PEN.

2. 2

   Dig in the centre of the pig pen just north of Draynor Village market for an ancient casket.

3. 3

   Take it to Veos at the northernmost dock in Port Sarim. He is evasive about what is inside, which is the point.
