Ardougne knights are the standard high-level Thieving target because they stand still, respawn instantly, and can be pickpocketed indefinitely without moving from one tile.

The rate depends heavily on your success chance, which is why the Ardougne Diary rewards matter so much. The easy and medium diaries between them turn a stop-start grind into a smooth one.

Dodgy necklaces prevent stuns and the rogue outfit doubles every successful loot. Neither is expensive relative to what they return, and skipping them costs more than buying them.

This is one of the few methods that is simultaneously good money and good experience, which makes it a natural choice if you want Thieving levels anyway.

What you actually do

1Travel to Ardougne market square and find the knights patrolling it.
