Overnight Grand Exchange offers

Leave buy and sell offers running while you are logged out, capturing wider margins on slower-moving items.

Overnight offers are flipping with the waiting removed from your evening. You place buy offers before logging out, and collect whatever filled when you return.

It works because Grand Exchange offers keep running while you are offline. Nothing else in the game earns without you present, which is what makes this genuinely passive rather than merely low-effort.

The trade-off is control. A price that moves against you overnight cannot be reacted to, so this suits stable, high-volume items rather than anything currently swinging.

Use every slot. The rate here is a function of how many offers you have running, not how clever any single one is.

What you actually do

  1. 1Before logging off, pick items with high volume and a stable recent chart.
  2. 2Split your slots between buying and selling — roughly four each — so you wake up with both stock and coins.
  3. 3Price a percent or two further from current than you would during the day, trading a worse fill for a better chance of filling.
  4. 4Deal with the results first thing in the morning, before anything else.

Getting the most from it

  • Never leave the whole bank in buy offers on one item. Spread across at least three.
  • Avoid anything mentioned in this week's patch notes — an overnight position cannot be adjusted when the update lands.
  • List overnight buys as sells first thing. Offers placed in the morning fill during the day; the same offers at lunchtime lose a session.
  • Two to four percent a night on a well-chosen set is realistic. Anyone quoting reliable double digits is describing a good night, not an average one.
