Tale of the Righteous

Speak to Phileas Rimor in his house just west of The Cloak and Stagger in Shayzien. His ancestor led an expedition to Mount Quidamortem a thousand years ago and never came back.

• Rope

He has been sent a journal by King Shayzien VII, apparently stolen from the Tower of Magic.

Go to the Arceuus Library and use Archeio to teleport to the Archive, then speak to Pagida.

King Shayzien VII oversaw a prison built at the same time as the expedition, abandoned ever since. Ask to see it.

The prison holds a strange device in the centre that can be pushed north. Do so and see where it leads.

Report to Phileas, who asks you to repeat the expedition, then get permission from Lord Shiro Shayzien up the ladder in the War Tent at the Shayzien Encampment.

He agrees on condition that anything you find comes to him first — King Shayzien VII was his ancestor.

Bring a weapon for each style: the caves ask for melee, ranged and two or three casts of a combat spell. A pickaxe covers melee if you are short.

Report your discovery to Lord Shiro. The Mountain Guide is the fast way back without a teleport or the Lovakengj minecart.

He asks for proof, so go back to Phileas — and find his house wrecked and Phileas gone.

Return to Lord Shayzien, who opens an investigation. Without the parcel nothing can be pinned on his ancestor, which is rather the point of the ending.
