About this quest

Starting out: Talk to Marcellus at the Locus Oasis.

There is no written introduction to this one yet. The walkthrough, requirements, items and rewards below are complete.

Walkthrough

01A labour dispute

Exactly as odd as the title suggests. Short, no combat worth the name, and reachable once you have been to Varlamore.

  1. 1

Speak to Marcellus at the Locus Oasis by the hardwood tree patch. He is convinced the frogs across the water intend to enslave humanity.

    • 2

Talk to the blue frogs in the centre of the oasis, north of the teak grove. They have simply gone on strike over how Marcellus treats them.

    02The election

    1. 1

Gary and Sue decide to settle the leadership with a frog-hopping election, and ask you to sabotage Cuthbert's lily pad so he does not win and declare war.

    2. 2

Dave and Jane are guarding the pads and will not let you near them. They are, however, hungry — deal with that and they stop watching.

    3. 3

Sabotage Cuthbert's pad while they are distracted, then let the election run. Sue wins.

    03Proof of betrayal

    1. 1

Sue offers a deal: the frogs eat flies again if Marcellus pays them in oranges. He wants proof the flies mean him harm.

    2. 2

Search Marcellus' bed for a love letter. It names Nalia, which is the passcode to the chest in his house.

    3. 3

Open the chest, take what you need to frame the flies, and settle the dispute. Cuthbert, Lord of Dread is level 1 and no threat at all.
