Guardians of the Rift
The Runecraft minigame that pays while it trains, and needs nothing to start.
Guardians of the Rift is a group minigame where you mine fragments, craft runes and defend a barrier on a timer. It replaced running back and forth to an altar as the way most accounts train Runecraft, and unusually for a training method it makes money at the same time.
It starts at 27 Runecraft with no capital and no gear worth losing, so the barrier to entry is close to zero. The rate rises steadily as your level unlocks better runes.
The rewards are the real draw rather than the gold: the abyssal needle, the rift guardian pet and the Raiments of the Eye set, which itself increases rune output.
Getting the most from it
- Bring nothing you would miss. There is no item risk here, so an empty inventory is the correct loadout.
