Redwood logs
The most AFK tree in the game. Redwoods need a click every thirty seconds or so and the logs bank well.
Redwoods are the highest-level trees in the game and they behave differently from the rest — you chop from a platform, and the tree never depletes while you are on it.
That makes the method unusually steady. There is no competition for spawns and no walking between trees, so the rate is close to whatever your Woodcutting level supports.
Woodcutting 90 and Hosidius favour are the gates. Both are substantial, which places this among the late-game gathering methods rather than the accessible ones.
The logs are used for the best Firemaking in the game and for a specific Construction method, so demand is real but not enormous. Check the price before committing a long session.
What you actually do
- 1Travel to the redwood trees in the Woodcutting Guild in Hosidius.
- 2Climb the ladder and chop from the platform.
- 3Bank in the guild, which is a short walk away.
Getting the most from it
- Requires Woodcutting 90 and Hosidius favour, so this is a late-game gathering method.
- Redwood logs are used for the best firemaking and for a specific Construction method, which keeps demand reasonable.
- The guild bank is close, which is what keeps the rate up.
