In Search of the Myreque

01The delivery

A long shopping list and a swamp crossing. Buy every weapon and the nails before you set off.

1. 1

Talk to Vanstrom Klause in the north-east corner of the Hair of the Dog tavern in Canifis and agree to deliver weapons to the Myreque.
2. 2

Carry six Mort myre fungus so you can refill the druid pouch when you arrive — the ghasts on the way will drain it.
3. 3

With 50 Agility and fairy rings unlocked you can skip Mort Myre entirely by using the ring west of Canifis and taking the shortcut south of the swamp.

4. 4

Find Cyreg Paddlehorn on the eastern edge of Mort'ton, by his boat at the Barrows bridge, and persuade him to take you across.

02The rope bridge

1. 1

At The Hollows, go north avoiding the ghasts until you reach a strange tree, and climb up to the damaged rope bridge.

2. 2

Mend it as you walk: three planks and 225 steel nails in total, 75 nails per plank.

   • Steel nails
   • Hammer
3. 3

Climb down the far side and go north to the hollow tree.

03Proving yourself

Curpile Fyod quizzes you before letting you in. The answers are fixed, and getting one wrong knocks you out and puts you back at the boat.

1. 1

The only female member of the Myreque is Sani Piliu. The leader in Mort Myre is Veliaf Hurtz. The boatman is Cyreg Paddlehorn.

2. 2

The member who was originally a scholar is Polmafi Ferdygris. The youngest member is Ivan Strom. The vampyre family ruling Morytania is Drakan.

3. 3

Failing is not fatal — the bridge stays mended and the pouch keeps most of its charges — but it is a wasted trip.

04Vanstrom's gift

1. 1

As you hand over the weapons, Vanstrom reveals himself as a vampyre, kills two of the Myreque and summons a level 97 Skeleton Hellhound.

2. 2

Kill the hellhound to regain the group's trust. It can be safespotted, which is the sensible option at lower combat levels.

It attacks the instant the cutscene ends, so be ready with prayer and food before you speak to Veliaf.
