About this quest

Starting out: Search the shelf in the southern-western house of Mort'ton.

There is no written introduction to this one yet. The walkthrough, requirements, items and rewards below are complete.

Walkthrough

01Serum 207

Everything you need is in Mort'ton itself, and the temple section is far faster with other players than alone.

  1. 1

Search the shelf in the most south-western house in Mort'ton for the book, and search the smashed table too — it holds two tarromin and a rogue's purse.

    • Vial of water
  2. 2

Read the book to unlock Serum 207. Use tarromin on a vial of water, then ashes on the unfinished potion. Make two.

Serum 207 can be bought, but at least one has to be made by you for the quest to count it.

  3. 3

Use the serum on Razmire Keelgan in the general store to talk to him — the afflicted only stay lucid for a short time.

02Rebuilding the temple

  1. 1

The temple is on the small island north-east of the general store. Rebuilding it is a short introduction to the Shades of Mort'ton minigame.

    • Hammer
  2. 2

Use World 377, the world dedicated to this minigame, if you want company. Solo is possible with Flamtaer bracelets and a Flamtaer hammer but takes considerably longer.

  3. 3

Kill five level 40 Loar Shades and collect their remains while you are here.

03The pyre

  1. 1

Cut a nearby dead tree if you have no logs, then use sacred oil on the logs to make pyre logs.

    • Tinderbox
  2. 2

Take them to a funeral pyre — the brown patches west of the general store — add the Loar remains, and light it.

  3. 3

Collect your reward from the stone pillar beside the pyre, then talk to Ulsquire. Use a serum on him first if he has reverted.
