01Winning over the heir

The reward is the kingdom management minigame, which is one of the better passive incomes in the game once it is running.

   Choose Princess Astrid or Prince Brand — either works. Astrid's route can be sped up with a bow, Brand's with a cake or chocolate cake, and flowers help with both.

   Marrying them at the end is optional and changes nothing about the quest.

02The peace deal

   Ask Advisor Ghrim, beside the king, how to make peace with Etceteria. He sends you to Queen Sigrid.

   Cross the bridge east into Etceteria, go upstairs in the large building on the east side and into the centre room.

3. 3

   She agrees if King Vargas recognises Etceteria as sovereign. Take that back to Vargas.

03Public support

1. 1

   You need 75 per cent approval. You start at 25 and each action adds 0.33 — roughly 152 actions.

   Killing villagers or stealing from stalls starts you below 25 per cent, which adds a lot of chopping.

2. 2

   Check your rating with Advisor Ghrim. The labourers will not tell you until the quest is finished.

3. 3

   If you want 100 per cent, keep working past the threshold before you speak to Vargas.
