Heroes' Quest

01Three entry tasks

The gate to the Heroes' Guild. Like Shield of Arrav, one part needs a partner from the opposing gang, so arrange that first.

1. 1

   Talk to Achietties outside the Heroes' Guild south of Burthorpe. She wants a fire feather, a cooked lava eel and a Master Thieves' Armband.

02The Master Thieves' Armband

1. 1

   This uses your Shield of Arrav gang. You need a partner in the opposite gang — the Grouping interface or the Osrs Soa chat channel are where people arrange it.

   You do not need the quest's skill requirements for this section, which is why players who have finished it can still come back to help others.

2. 2

   Black Arm: talk to Katrine in the headquarters in south-west Varrock, then visit the members in the Palm Street alleyway hideout. The password is four leafed clover.

3. 3

   Phoenix: talk to Straven at the hideout, who gives you the password gherkin for Alfonse, a gang member working as a waiter in The Shrimp and Parrot in Brimhaven.

4. 4

   Either route ends with Scarface Pete's candlesticks. Bring a bow and arrows or magic gear — Grip is level 22 and must be dealt with on the Phoenix route.

03The fire feather

1. 1

   The firebird lives on the northern half of Entrana. It is level 2 and dies easily, but the feather is too hot to pick up bare-handed.

2. 2

   You need ice gloves, dropped by the level 111 Ice Queen beneath White Wolf Mountain. Smiths gloves (i) work as a substitute.

04The lava eel

1. 1

   Talk to Gerrant at the Port Sarim fishing shop. He gives you a bottle of blamish snail slime free, and sells a rod and bait.

   Add the slime to a harralander potion (unf) to make blamish oil, then right-click the oil and use it on a normal fishing rod for an oily rod.
3. 3

   Taverley Dungeon is the safe place to fish them, which needs a dusty key without 70 Agility. The Lava Maze is the alternative and is in the Wilderness.

   Cook the eel before handing it in. An uncooked lava eel is not what Achietties asked for.

4. 4

   Take all three items back to Achietties outside the guild.
