OSRS Cooking training guide
Turns raw food into edible food. One of the quickest skills to reach 99.
About Cooking
Cooking is fast and cheap. Most players reach 99 far sooner than they expect, and the food produced is always needed for combat.
Wine making is faster still and is the standard choice for players who want the level as quickly as possible.
Fastest training
Rates assume an attentive player with the gear and unlocks that make each method work. Real sessions include banking, breaks and mistakes.
Wines
Jugs of wine give the fastest Cooking experience in the game and are cheap to make.
Karambwan at the Hosidius kitchen
Very fast and the cooked karambwan sell well, so the net cost is low.
Other approaches
- Cheapest
- Cook fish you caught yourself. The only cost is the Fishing time.
- Profitable
- Cooking raw karambwan and sharks bought from the Grand Exchange can turn a modest profit — check the spread first.
- AFK
- Cooking on a fire or range needs a click every few seconds; it is not truly AFK.
- Free-to-play
- Cook lobsters and swordfish from Karamja. Free players commonly buy raw fish and cook it for a small profit.
Useful quests
Quest experience is often worth far more than the time it takes, particularly at low levels where the curve is shallowest.
