About Hunter
Hunter is a trapping skill with a very wide range of activities, from bird snaring at low levels to black chinchompas in the Wilderness at high levels.
It is one of the more profitable gathering skills, and the chinchompas it produces underpin the fastest Ranged training available.
Fastest training
Rates assume an attentive player with the gear and unlocks that make each method work. Real sessions include banking, breaks and mistakes.
Black chinchompas
In the Wilderness, so there is real risk, but the experience and the profit are both excellent.
Red chinchompas
Safer than black chins and still very fast. The standard high-level choice.
Birdhouse runs
Passive experience on a 50-minute timer, similar in spirit to Farming runs. Almost free experience for a few minutes of effort.

- Profitable
- Chinchompas, herbiboar and black salamanders are all strong earners.
- AFK
- Birdhouse runs are the passive option. Active hunting needs constant attention.

Quest experience is often worth far more than the time it takes, particularly at low levels where the curve is shallowest.

- Black chinchompa huntingTrap black chinchompas in the Wilderness. Excellent GP and Hunter experience, with genuine risk of being killed by other players.Level 73
- Birdhouse runsSet four birdhouses on Fossil Island and collect them fifty minutes later. Passive Hunter experience and seeds.Level 5
- Red chinchompasBox trap red chinchompas outside the Wilderness. Strong income and the fastest Hunter experience without the risk of black chins.Level 63
