Starting out: Talk to Sanfew on the of the herbalist shop in Taverley.

Walkthrough

01Sanfew's request

    Speak to Sanfew on the top floor of the Taverley herb shop, choose to ask general questions, then ask for more work.

    If you are boosting Herblore you have to boost twice — once to start the quest, and again to make the troll truth potion, which needs 31.

    He sends you to Eadgar at the top of Trollheim. Buy climbing boots from Tenzing for 12 coins if you need them.

    Ghommal's hilt has a Trollheim option that puts you closest, otherwise take the Burthorpe route past the thrower trolls.

02Eadgar must be free first

  1. 1

    Check your quest log says you rescued Godric and Mad Eadgar. If not, he will not appear in the cave.

    To free him, pickpocket Berry in the Stronghold prison for the cell key and unlock the gate. He still appears in the cell even after being freed, which makes this confusing.

03The drunk parrot

  1. 1

    Talk to Parroty Pete near the northern wolf enclosure at Ardougne Zoo. Ask when the aviary was added and what the parrots eat.

    Use — do not eat — pineapple chunks on vodka to make alco-chunks, then use them on the aviary hatch on the west side of the cage.

      Do not drop the parrot at any point or it flies away and you start this section again.

    04Troll truth potion

    1. 1

      Search the grass patches around Eadgar's hill for a tiny thistle. Its name shows in yellow. World hopping and checking the grass directly north or west of the cave helps.

      Make the troll truth potion so Burntmeat cannot lie about the goutweed.

    3. 3

      Bring grain and raw chicken for the cooking section — ten grain and five raw chickens. Undead chickens do not work.

    • The ability to use the Trollheim Teleport spell.
