Shadows of Custodia

Read the notice board in the Auburn Pub. It is covered in missing person posters.

Reach Auburnvale by Renu, by fairy ring and north over the bridge, or via Nemus Retreat with the Pendant of Ates.

Talk to Marcus in the bar, then to Ictus north-east of the sawmill, who describes creatures scraping the walls at night. Captain Ariadna, the bartender and the shopkeeper have more; you need at least one of them.

Aemilia and Francis will not let you question the boys yet, and ask you to reinforce the scratched wall so they cannot be taken again.

Use four maple logs and a hammer on the wall. Maple trees are around the town and a hammer spawns north, in the building with the furnace.

Talk to Captain Ariadna by the town gate. Pick up a fishing rod too if you did not bring one.

Take combat gear back to the cave entrance and run east to the small side chamber where Antos is.

Three level 93 strange creatures attack. Turn on Protect from Melee, which stops almost all of the damage.

This part of the cave is multicombat, so all three can hit you at once. They also apply a bleed that ticks faster while you move — standing still reduces it.

Once they are dead you bring Antos back automatically. The others did not survive.
