About this quest

Starting out: Talk to Sigmund in Lumbridge Castle.

There is no written introduction to this one yet. The walkthrough, requirements, items and rewards below are complete.

Walkthrough

01Damage in the cellar

  1. 1

Talk to Sigmund beside Duke Horacio upstairs in Lumbridge Castle. Something has broken into the cellar.

    • 2

Ask around until someone mentions a goblin with huge eyes: the cook in the kitchen, Hans outside, Father Aereck in the chapel, or Bob in his axe shop.

    • 3

Report to Duke Horacio for permission to investigate, then search the cellar for a brooch.

    02Goblin history

    1. 1

Show the brooch to Reldo in the Varrock Palace Library. Search the northernmost bookcase on the western wall for A History of the Goblin Race and read it — the symbol means Dorgeshuun.

    2. 2

Ask the generals at Goblin Village about the Dorgeshuun. They disagree on the details but tell you how the lost tribe was punished.

    03The goblin maze

The tunnels are navigated by tribe symbols carved into the rocks, each of which names a direction.

    1. 1

Bring a light source. The symbols stand for the Rekeshuun, Idithuun, Ekeleshuun and Narogoshuun — the goblins of north, south, east and west respectively.

Candles, torches and oil lamps can set off swamp gas if you stray off the marked route, and they need a tinderbox to relight. A lantern is the safer choice.

    2. 2

Follow each symbol in the direction its tribe represents until you reach the Dorgeshuun.

    04The missing silverware

    1. 1

Tell the Duke you have made contact. Silverware has gone missing and he threatens war unless it is returned.

    2. 2

Pickpocket Sigmund for a key, then open his chest in the spinning wheel room to find H.A.M. robes.

Keep the robes. Death to the Dorgeshuun needs them, and buying another set later is an avoidable errand.

    3. 3

Sigmund is a member of Humans Against Monsters. Visit the H.A.M. Hideout to recover the silverware.

    05The treaty

    1. 1

The Duke hands you a signed peace treaty. Return to the tunnel and talk to Kazgar at the entrance, who guides you through to the mines.

    2. 2

Talk to Mistag, who summons Ur-tag to sign. A cutscene in the Lumbridge dining room ends the quest — with Sigmund outside promising the goblins will be destroyed.
