Zogre Flesh Eaters

01The sickies

The one quest built entirely around disease. Bring a cure or you will spend the whole thing at reduced stats.

1. 1

Speak to Grish at the entrance to Jiggig, south of Castle Wars. Ask about the zogres and offer to help; he gives you two super restores and three cooked chompies.

You need five free inventory spaces at this point or the handover fails.

2. 2

Talk to the ogre guard to the east and mention Grish. He breaks the barricade so you can climb over.

3. 3

Zogres and skogres inflict disease, which drops a random stat by up to 10 every 18 seconds and gets through protection prayers. Three doses of Relicym's balm cures it; one dose of Sanfew serum cures it and gives 15 minutes of immunity.

02Following the tankard

1. 1

Take the dragon inn tankard to the Dragon Inn in south-western Yanille and use it on the bartender. It belonged to Brentle Vahn, who was seen with a shifty wizard.

2. 2

Go to the Wizards' Guild in eastern Yanille and speak to Zavistic Rarve. Without 66 Magic, ring the bell on the eastern side and he comes out to you.

03Incriminating Sithik

1. 1

Sithik is in bed in the westernmost room of the guest house north of the Guild. Ask about the undead ogres, then search the room over his objections.

2. 2

Search the drawers, the cupboard and the wardrobe for a book of portraiture, a necromancy book, papyrus and charcoal, and a Book of H.A.M. Read all three books.

Keep the tankard. You need it again shortly and it is easy to drop once the bartender is done with it.

3. 3

Use the Book of Portraiture on Sithik to get him to sit for a portrait, which is how you expose him.

04Slash Bash

1. 1

Slash Bash is a level 111 undead ourg. He takes full damage only from brutal arrows, 50 per cent from Crumble Undead, and 25 per cent from everything else.

Bringing an ordinary weapon makes this fight four times longer than it needs to be. Use brutal arrows or Crumble Undead — and check your staff can autocast it.

2. 2

His attacks inflict disease through prayer, but Protect from Missiles stops the damage itself.

3. 3

He can be safespotted, which is the sensible approach at lower combat levels.
