General Graardor
The Bandos boss in the God Wars Dungeon. Drops Bandos armour, the Bandos godsword hilt and consistent supplies.
Graardor is the most accessible God Wars boss, which is why he is usually the first one a player learns. The fight itself is mechanically simple — no phases, no prayer switching, just sustained damage while you take a lot of it back.
The killcount requirement is the part people underestimate. Reaching the boss room means killing forty Bandos followers first, and on a solo trip that is a meaningful chunk of the time before any loot is possible.
Bandos armour is the headline drop and it is worth a great deal, but the godsword shards and the consistent coin and rune drops are what keep the rate from being entirely a lottery.
Teams kill him considerably faster than solos, and the drop goes to one player per kill. Whether that suits you depends on whether you would rather have a smaller share more often or the whole thing rarely.
What you actually do
- 1Get the required killcount in the God Wars Dungeon, then enter Bandos's chamber.
- 2Kill the minions first or pray against them, depending on your setup.
- 3Fight Graardor with Protect from Melee up and eat early rather than reactively.
- 4Leave when supplies run low — the walk back is long, so do not cut it fine.
Getting the most from it
- Killcount is part of the trip cost. Factor it into the hourly rate rather than treating it as free.
- Bandos armour is the headline drop but the consistent loot pays for the trips on its own.
- Duo or small teams are considerably more efficient here than solo, if you have someone to go with.
