01Islwyn and the pebble

Short, and the only way to a crystal bow or shield. The Moss Guardian is the whole difficulty because of what you are allowed to carry.

   Talk to Islwyn, who distrusts humans until you mention moving Glarial's remains to the Waterfall Dungeon during Waterfall Quest.

   Talk to Eluned, then take Glarial's pebble to Glarial's Tomb.

02The Moss Guardian

1. 1

   The tomb restricts almost everything you can carry, so the level 84 Moss Guardian is usually fought unarmed or with Magic.

   Prayer, food and potions are all allowed and you should bring them. It deals physical damage, or unavoidable magic damage when the physical attack misses, so Protect from Melee is worth having up.

   Kill it for the consecration seed. It can be flinched if your combat stats are low.

03The Chalice of Eternity

1. 1

   Board the raft in the middle of the lake above Baxtorian Falls, as in Waterfall Quest. It crashes short of the drop.

   Use the rope on the rock to the south, then on the dead tree at the edge, to reach the dungeon entrance.

   Search the northernmost crates in the eastern room for a key, unlock the western rooms, and bury the seed at the Chalice of Eternity.

04Choosing your reward

   Islwyn offers a part-used crystal shield or crystal bow. Take the bow: it is the more expensive of the two to buy later and it is required for the hard Western Provinces Diary.

   Both wear out and are recharged by Ilfeen for a fee that varies with how much you have used them.

   If you meet the requirements for Mourning's End Part I, speak to Eluned after claiming the reward.
