Swan Song

01The Piscatoris Colony

Unlocks monkfish, which are the best food most accounts can catch for a long stretch. The final fight is genuinely hard.

1. 1

Reach the Piscatoris Fishing Colony by teleport scroll, by fairy ring and running north-east, or by boat west of the Tree Gnome Stronghold — Kathy Corkat charges 50 coins, or nothing with a ring of Charos.

2. 2

Speak to Herman Caranos north-east of the landing to start.

3. 3

The Wise Old Man wants 10 lava runes, 10 mist runes and 5 blood runes before he will help.

02The first battle

1. 1

Back at the Colony the Wise Old Man is waiting. Talking to him takes you into the grounds, where eight level 79 sea trolls attack.

2. 2

He casts Saradomin Strike for you and hits very hard, but only ten times before he runs out and starts throwing stones for 2.

You can use blood, air and fire runes on him mid-fight to keep him casting — but he only takes one rune per use, so it is a lot of clicking.

03Rebuilding

1. 1

Arnold Lydspor, at the bank west of Herman, wants five cooked fresh monkfish and gives you a net for them. His bank and shop stay closed until the quest is done.
2. 2

Franklin Caranos wants the walls repaired, which is what the iron bars, logs, hammer and tinderbox are for.

   • Hammer
3. 3

These two can be done in either order.

04An army and a queen

1. 1

The Wise Old Man sends you to Wizard Frumscone in the Wizards' Guild basement in Yanille for an army of skeleton mages.

This is where 66 Magic is checked. Boost here if you are short, and take a pickaxe with you before leaving.

2. 2

Back at the Colony, a cutscene shows the army winning — then the Wise Old Man takes 254 damage and is out of the fight.

3. 3

The Sea Troll Queen at level 170 is yours alone. Bring the airtight pot and bones for the sections around her, and food for the fight itself.
