01The Crux Eqal

Enormous, with one of the longest item lists in the game. Read the whole list and bank deliberately — several steps have no bank nearby.

   Speak to Ivy Sophista in the building with the crystal chest in Taverley, then Thaerisk up the ladder.

02Tracking Movario

1. 1

   Speak to the Khazard Launderer two buildings north of the Fight Arena Bar. Charm him with the ring of Charos (a) or pay 500 coins for Movario's dirty shirt.

2. 2

   See the hunting expert at Feldip about a broav, then go to the ruined building with the broken table near the Carnillean mansion.

3. 3

   Drop the broav, use the shirt on it, and follow it. When it squeals at the broken table, search the table for a trapdoor.

   Elite Khazard Guards attack in melee as soon as you open the door inside.

03The pressure puzzle

1. 1

   In the study, inspect the painting on the south wall and pull the lever to open a hidden room.

2. 2

   Search the drawers for notes on pressure and read them. The gauge shows a value in tickits — the statue plus anything on it.

3. 3

   To leave, the gauge must read the same number as the weight shown in your Equipment Stats interface.

   Adjust by adding or removing worn items until the two numbers match exactly. Nothing else opens the door.

04Assembling the task force

1. 1

   Show Thaerisk the notes, then check on the Guardians of Armadyl at McGrubor's Wood, entering by the loose railing to the east.

2. 2

   Meet Akrisae, Thaerisk and Idria at the round table on the east side of Falador castle's ground floor. Movario is hunting the Stone of Jas.

3. 3

   Plant the enriched seed in the patch at the top of the castle, up the western stairs three floors. It cannot become diseased.
4. 4

   While it grows, recruit by Astral Contact: Turael in Burthorpe, Mazchna in Canifis, Duradel up the ladder in the Shilo Village fishing shop, and Cyrisus from the interface.

05The Dark Squall

1. 1

   Enter the Black Knights' Fortress in your disguise — you can unequip it once inside — push the hidden wall ahead and climb down.
2. 2

   Head south to the tiled floor and inspect the green carved tile with the orb symbol, then cast a charged orb spell on it.

3. 3

   Surok Magis at 265, the Balance Elemental at 524 and two Tormented Demons at 450 are what this builds to. Bring gear for two combat styles.
